Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)
Every good father or mentor must always wish that his children surpass him in every ares of accomplishment. Our Lord and Master was not an exemption. Jesus Christ, our Lord, accomplished great work for all of us. He defeated sin, sickness, poverty and death. He was tempted by Satan and by men, challenged by seen and unseen forces, opposed by the Pharisees and Sadducees, yet He conquered all. He wrought such mighty works as had never been seen in Israel. It came to a point that they were asking, "what manner of man is this?" They thought they had seen it all, but surprisingly Jesus said, "I did great works, I achieved great result, but you are to do greater works." We are to achieve greater results.
Thank God for what your biological fathers achieved; you are meant to go beyond their success. Thank God for what you accomplished last year; this year, you are in for greater accomplishments.
How dare you stop fighting when you know that there are more lands to conquer? God told me, "My son, if you stop fighting, you start losing." May be your last fight was a flop, gather yourself together, stand and fight. You are a failure only when you remain on the floor!
More press, more pleasure. Greater works, greater result!
